How to Choose a Celebrant...
Remember – your Marriage Ceremony is the most important aspect of your wedding celebration! Completion of the ceremony renders your marriage legitimate.
The ceremony should include moments you cherish and hold in your heart forever. Therefore your choice of celebrant is crucial to making your ceremony memorable.
Some points for your consideration are:
- Inquire if they are they available on the day you wish to marry.
- If so, either book promptly if you feel comfortable with the celebrant or -
- Arrange an initial meeting, after which you will know if you are happy to proceed.
- Ask how many other weddings they may schedule for your choice of date.
- Check testimonials or listen to ‘word of mouth’ recommendations – always the best.
- Confirm the celebrant is a Registered Celebrant with the Department of Births, Deaths and Marriages.
What is the Purpose of a Name-Giving Ceremony…
I welcome the opportunity to create a ceremony of celebration; a baby-naming occasion celebrates and affirms for us all – the miracle of life.
Some points for your consideration are:
- It can be a personalized and heartfelt celebration of love, acceptance and hope.
- This provides an opportunity to welcome a child into the family and the world.
- This is a time to remind all concerned of the responsibility involved in bringing up a child.
- The importance of recognizing those who will have an important role in the child’s development.
- You will have documentation to hand on to your child acknowledging the significance of their name; why you chose their name and what it means to you.
"There is a song in man, there is a song in woman, and that is the child's song. Just listen to the song. Listen to it; it is the greatest song of all..." Spike Milligan
